Abby Panetta Counseling

Frequently Asked Questions
What methods of payment do you accept?
It is required that a credit card be on file to book an appointment. All major credit cards are accepted. Any session canceled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full fee of the session. All fees are due at the time of service.
Please note: I do not accept cash or checks.
Do you accept insurance?
While I do not accept insurance directly, I am happy to provide you with any documentation needed to submit for reimbursement.
I recommend that you call your insurance company directly to confirm your out-of-network coverage.
I recommend you ask:
1. What are my mental health benefits?
2. What is my deductible or what is my out-of-pocket max?
3. Do you cover session code "90834"?
Do you meet with clients in-person or virtually?
Clients have the option to meet in-person, at my office in Philadelphia, or virtually, from the comforts of their own home. A HIPAA-compliant video platform is used for all virtual services to ensure confidentiality is protected.
Are sessions confidential?
Everything that is shared in session is confidential with the exception of these scenarios:
1. If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, disabled person or elder.
2. If you are in danger of harming yourself or others.
3. In some legal proceedings involving child custody and those in which your emotional
condition is an important issue, a judge may order our testimony if he/she determines that the issues
demand it. If a judge requests a client’s records, I am legally obligated to provide the information
being requested.
